Perhaps you have heard us use the term "deadstock", and wondered what we meant. Deadstock refers to textiles left over from mills or fashion brand production that would otherwise end up in a landfill. We love it because we can offer our community sustainably-sourced fabrics at a great price!
Where do we find Deadstock textiles?
We have relationships with a few jobbers. Jobbers purchase large lots of fabric directly from production houses or mills and serve as middle-men to wholesalers or fashion designers.
What kind of Deadstock textiles do we carry?
We try to carry a range of fabrics, from lace and linen to activewear and wool coating. Sourcing Deadstock can feel like a treasure hunt depending on what the jobbers have available. The warehouses can feel like a maze full of gorgeous, wild, and wacky fabrics. We spend days searching for the best fabrics to bring to you!
