Hello Utah yarnies! Are you ready for this year's Utah Yarn Crawl? We're so excited to see you! Here are all the details you need to know:
What is yarn crawl?
Yarn crawl is a yearly event organized by Willow Hill Yarn Co, happening July 11-18. Attendees will get a passport, and if they get a stamp from each of the participating yarn shops, they can enter for a grand prize worth $300!
Each yarn shop has their own grand prize, and it is up to you to decide which shop's contest to enter. You'll have to drop your passport off at that shop in person before the end of Yarn Crawl on Saturday, July 18.
Also, each shop has a limited quantity of special Yarn Crawl tote bags and stickers that are FREE for customers while supplies last. These are usually gone in the first couple hours, so come early if you want one!
If you're not up to visiting all eleven shops in the crawl, there are still fun incentives for you! Each shop is running their own programs during the crawl - it could be sales, additional giveaways, special limited-time products, and more.
What's Harmony doing for yarn crawl?
We've got some fun cooked up for you!
- Our grand prize will be a $300 gift certificate.
- We're also holding a raffle for additional prizes - we've got yarn kits from Cascade, Berroco, and Universal Yarn.
- We're debuting several new yarn bases that we're super excited about
- We've gathered a lot of knitting-based accessories and ephemera - tote bags, stickers, notions, and more
- We'll have a special drop of Esther Jane Yarns, our in-house limited-run indie dyed yarn company
Parking
Parking at Harmony will be a little tough this year, as Provo is resurfacing Center Street on our block July 7-17. Attendees can find street parking on the side streets; 300 East is closest. You can also park in the Altabank back parking lot, on the corner of 200 West and Center.
Side Quest
We're continuing the tradition of the Utah Yarn Crawl side quest! We've got custom-made stitch markers from Hapbee Creative Studios and stickers from Positively Yarnie. If you collect stitch markers from all participating yarn shops you can get a bonus free marker!
