Were you on the edge of your seat? We're finally back sharing the last half of our Bulky Gift Knits Collection. Last week we learned about Jewelspun with Wool Chunky, Beatrix, Teddy Dear, and Young & Trendy. Now let's dive in to our remaining bulky yarns, and make plans for gift knitting and crocheting.
ELLA RAE SURPRISE
It may surprise ;) you that we chose to stock Ella Rae Surprise - it's such a throwback to early-aughts knitting! This combination of susurrating colors and texture totally won me over. I'm excited to incorporate this element of surprise (sorry, can't help myself) into future projects - I'm thinking stripes, mohair, scrap knits, texture galore!

Here is a collection of patterns we like for Surprise. I particularly love the Surprise Hat by Carrie McKie, Mellow Vest by Sharon Maninger, Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf by Karen Baumer, and Bandana Cowl by Purl Soho.
LAINES DU NORD PIUMA CASHMERE
Piuma Cashmere is in the running for fluffiest yarn on earth. It's a blend of merino wool, cashmere, and a little nylon for strength. It creates a fabric that's light as air, super-soft, and very warm. The ultimate coziness! Like other fluffy yarns, you can definitely hold Piuma Cashmere with a strand of another yarn, but it works beautifully on its own as well.

Piuma Cashmere is perfect for anyone who needs an extra helping of coziness - see the full collection of patterns we recommend here. I'm planning on using it for Are you Well Mr. Darcy? by Jeanette Stark, One Day Top by Svetlana Volkova, Berlin Scarf by Susanne Muhller, or Taika Bonnet by Maija Vahteristo.
MALABRIGO RASTA
Malabrigo Rasta has been our most popular super-bulky yarn for over a decade, and with good reason! Malabrigo's hand-dyed colors take on extra dimension when applied on a bulky substrate - the color undulates like sunlight through water. And boy howdy does Rasta work up quick! You'll be done with your project before you know it.

Rasta is super soft, and great for anything worn next-to-skin - here is our collection of patterns we find suitable. I especially recommend the Super Cat Hat by Destiny Meyer, Wee Love Bug 2 by Taiga Hilliard, Mirror Pond Cowl by Sahnya Greenfield, and Decemberist by Melanie Berg.
KFI FURREAL
Ok hear me out. You may look at this 100% acrylic faux fur and feel a little flabbergasted. At Harmony we pride ourselves in seeking out the best quality yarns for the best prices we can get, and Furreal is no exception. This stuff is SOFT. We love incorporating Furreal into projects that need a little extra texture or pizazz.

Find our list of patterns that would work with Furreal here. I want to use it to knit the Faux Chapeau by Park Williams, Lara by Lee Youngman, Ear Flap Cap by Park Williams, or Fluffy Fleece Vest by Johanna Reus.
NORO RIKKA
Rikka is a recent release from Noro that we are totally obsessed with. It's a blend of Wool, Alpaca, and Silk with a gorgeous hand and halo. Skeins are 200g so you can go a long way with just one skein!

Find our list of patterns that we want to make with Rikka here. I'm excited to make the Simple Crochet Shrug by Lion Brand Yarn, Big Beautiful Hug Wrap by Purl Soho, Crochet Paper Chain Christmas Garland by Cintia Gonzalez, or Ribbed Wonder Easy Hat by Crochet 365.
