A love of stationery and hand-bound books led to the discovery of these elegant 100% cotton ribbons from Italy when Studio Carta was first founded in 2004. After searching the US in vain for quality bindings for handmade books, Angela Liguori started importing these tightly woven textiles from her native Italy, and soon after began using them for all kinds of projects – gift wrapping, sewing, packaging, stationery, and other crafts. Today Studio Carta works directly with the manufacturers in Italy to develop their own signature collection of colors, styles and widths.
