Capella Coat / PDF Pattern

$ 16.00

This is a digital PDF sewing pattern, not a physical product.

The Capella Coat is a reversible quilted bomber inspired by classic utility jackets. Sew it using pre-quilted fabric for a quick finish, or quilt your own fabric with our included step-by-step guide for a completely custom coat. With its optional hood, elasticated back hem, and clean bias-bound finish throughout, Capella is as enjoyable to sew as it is to wear.

Fabric suggestions: Pre-quilted cotton or lightweight cotton with cotton batting are ideal. The pattern will also work well with light- to mid-weight quilted fabrics including pre-quilted nylon, polyester, linen or cotton.

Pre-quilted fabric is the quickest option and ideal for first-time makers. If quilting your own fabric, lighter outer fabrics are easier to manage and create less bulk. Choose a contrasting bias binding to highlight the reversible construction. Avoid heavily padded quilted fabrics, which can make bias binding and seams difficult to sew. You will need 0.5 - 1 yds/mts of contrast fabric for the bias binding.

Use: Limited commercial use is allowed under certain conditions and with express permission from Madswick. Madswick patterns may be used to create garments for sale in small quantities. We ask that a pattern be purchased for each garment sold and that the cost of the pattern be built into your pricing.
