Painter's Docker / PDF Pattern

$ 11.00

This is a digital PDF sewing pattern, not a physical product.

The docker hat was originally worn by dock workers and sailors who needed a simple, warm hat that stayed in place. With no brim, it’s practical and comfortable, ideal for windy conditions. This pattern keeps the classic shape and is easy to sew, working well with fabrics like canvas, cotton twill, denim, or wool. It’s a quick project that makes for a practical, everyday hat.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

sewlukeivo is the creative studio of Luke-Matthew Iveson, a designer and sewist based in Manchester. The studio was founded on a simple idea: that making your own clothes should feel accessible, expressive, and completely your own.

Drawing on a mix of influences—from utility and costume to everyday wear—the work reflects an appreciation for detail, character, and a bit of drama.

After winning Season 10 of The Great British Sewing Bee, sewlukeivo became a space to share that approach. Through sewing patterns, workshops, and limited drops.
