Description: If you already know knitting basics, and are ready for the next step, this is the class for you! Over three lessons with JoLene you'll learn about cables, shaping, ribbing, and lace stitches. JoLene will get you started making a cabled hat, fingerless gloves, and a lace cowl. This class is for ages 17 and up.
Prior skills recommended: You should be confident in knitting, purling, casting on, binding off, and circular and flat knitting.
Materials needed:

1 set of 5 double pointed needles, size US11

24” circular needles size US11

1 med cable needle

For the cowl: 2 skeins (180 yds each) of matching chunky yarn such as Malibrigo chunky or Cascade 128 (soft and drapey)

For the mitts: 1 skein Aran or chunky yarn

For the hat: 1 more skein chunky yarn such as Malabrigo chunky

1 blunt-tipped metal tapestry needle

When: This class takes place over three Saturdays:
- January 6 from 10:30am-12:30pm
- January 13 from 10:30am-12:30pm
- January 20 from 10:30am-12:30pm
Prep Work: Please have yarn purchased and wound before class.
