Cascade Yarns recently reformulated their popular base Anchor Bay, so we've decided to discount all skeins of the old formulation! Both versions of Anchor Bay are a soft, breathable, washable DK-weight mix of 50% cotton and 50% superwash merino wool. The discounted version is a traditionally spun 6-ply where the wool and cotton are fully blended together before the yarn is spun. The new formulation differs in that the wool and cotton are spun separately into super-fine threads, which are then cable-plied together. The two formulations can be used together but will differ visually.
